July - September 2010

We are really behind in updating the blogspot site. Back when it was still summer, we kept busy with lots of different things including a trip out to the Great Plains to see our relatives in South Dakota and Nebraska. One day while we were outside in our yard, we heard a really loud airplane and looked up to see a B-17 bomber. It visited the airport here, so we went over with Dad to check it out (Kate was napping). We also got to run in the Zoo Run Run.

April - June 2010

Spring finally arrived here in Indiana, and we enjoyed lots of fun activities. We went to the Purdue Spring Fest this year, where we got to meet cool insects and spiders, take a pony ride, try the John Deere pedal tractor course, build our own rockets, and drive electric cars. Anna and Jack got new bicycles, and Mom got a bicycle and attached a special seat for Kate. Kevin and Ruth and their family hosted us for a trip to Vermont. We also visited Granny and Grandpa in May and again in June; during the June visit, Jack and Anna got to run in their first road race!

January - March 2010

Lots of happenings for the first quarter in 2010. A trip to Arizona to start out the year where we got a chance to see Cousin Jonah, a first birthday and a shared fifth birthday all happened. Kate officially joined the glasses-wearing tradition started by Anna and Jack. All-in-all, not a bad way to start the year.

I'm open over here (we're playing soccer - you just can't see everyone else or the ball, that's how open I am)

Kate also enjoying Reid Park

Umm, Dad, I'm not so sure of this "sliding" plan you've got

CHOCOLATE CAKE!
(By the way, I can use a fork the right way, but the chocolate just overwhelmed me.)

The twins are five.
(Bonus points if you can read the sign in the back from Mom's Uncle Erv from a visit long ago at the New Castle house. Everyone who ate the birthday cake was fine as far as we know.)

Our swim goggles with prescription lenses are so cool, we don't just use them in the pool.

Look at these teeth!

It is surprisingly difficult to get a good picture of the whole crew. This one with Kate's hand up in the air is the best of the 3,478 photos Dad took while we were sitting here.
